All draws will be done using an approved Random Number Generator (RNG) and are open to the public to attend. All draws will take place at the offices of MNP LLP at Suite 1400 -1801 Hollis Street, Halifax, NS, B3J 3N4. A draw will only be deemed valid and complete upon final confirmation and recording by MNP LLP. The records of MNP LLP shall be deemed correct and final.
The liability of the licensee of this lottery shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket(s).
Prize Claim and Redemption
All prize winners are notified in writing by MNP LLP as to what they have won and how to claim their prize(s). A complete list of winners will be posted at QE2HomeLottery.com the week following the applicable draw date.
Only one name may be recorded on a ticket. Prizes will be awarded to the individual named on the official ticket. In the event a winning ticket is held in more than one name, it is the responsibility of the primary ticketholder to allocate the prize if necessary. Prize notification letters are addressed to the primary ticketholder only. MNP LLP and the licensee will not enter into any correspondence related to these matters. Prize winners can make arrangements with the supplier to have a prize delivered, at the winners’ expense.
2,004 prizes with an approximate retail value of $3,965,644 will be awarded. Approximate retail value of prizes is based on the date contracts were negotiated with suppliers. Due to housing market fluctuations, the market value of the real estate prizes may rise or diminish over time. Winner or charity is not entitled to the difference, if any, between the stated and actual market value at the time the prize is awarded. Prices include taxes and freight, where applicable.
Unless otherwise advertised, all prizes must be accepted as awarded with no cash equivalencies. Prizes may not be exactly as illustrated. Lottery winnings are typically not subject to Income Tax under Canadian law, however all winners should consult a tax professional on the tax implications, if any, of their winnings.
As per AGD regulations, all winners will be given 90 days to claim their prize. After such time, winners will forfeit their claim on the prize(s), and subsequent draw(s) will be made for any unclaimed prizes. Those winners will be given 90 days to claim their prize. After such time, the QEII Foundation will contact Alcohol and Gaming Division (AGD) to discuss dissemination of the unclaimed prizes.
If advertised, vacation prize winners may choose between a travel credit to use towards one (1) preferred supplier vacation which has no expiration date or a cash alternative provided by the QEII Home Lottery. Where applicable, airfare for vacation prizes is from the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Vehicle prize winners may choose from the vehicle(s) offered, or a cash alternative provided by the QEII Foundation. If the winner(s) selects the vehicle, the QEII foundation will order such vehicle from the respective supplier. Due to manufacturer and/or dealership supply and delivery timelines, ultimate redemption of a prize vehicle could take up to twelve (12) months. If the vehicle supplier cannot commit to this delivery timeline, the prize winner(s) will be provided the option to sign a release and wait for the vehicle based on dealership timelines or accept the advertised cash option instead. Vehicles advertised in print or digital form may be shown with optional features. Advertised vehicles may not be exactly as illustrated. It is the sole responsibility of the winner(s) to provide insurance and a valid driver’s licence to claim their prize.
Prize claim is subject to any local, provincial, and federal laws and regulations. Winners of real estate prizes may have to confirm eligibility to receive prizes under such laws and regulations. Winners of real estate prizes will be required to sign a Full & Final Release prior to the home being transferred.
Winners of prizes that offer a cash alternative will be required to declare their choice in writing. All decisions will be deemed final and winners cannot substitute cash alternatives in the future if the vacation or vehicle is chosen.
